On a beautiful and warm Thursday, 11 Eastmont seniors visited the Newberry Caldera south of Bend. They climbed the obsidian flow, enjoying the outstanding views of gleaming black rock, enhanced with a small lake at the foot of the climb. We then drove to Paulina Lake where many walked on the lakeside trail and then shared a picnic. The third activity involved a short stroll to Paulina Falls, another scenic wonder in this arena of memorable natural beauty. Of course we once again stopped at Bend’s D.Q. on the way back to church. The fellowship among our strollers enriches us all.
